やっほー～！ (aka first actual blog post ahoy!)

i feel like i can finally breathe a sigh of relief! i'm finally done importing all of my blogs from spacehey!!

i feel a bit strange writing a regular post like this... but it's a good kind of strange i think? i honestly went into this thinking i'd have to write like i'm talking to strangers, but i think i'll just write like i would on spacehey! so, apologies in advance if i mention things that i haven't gotten into here yet, lol... 

with this blog, i'm taking a bunch of cues from my lovely friend, nara~ i saw that she does a weekly blog post over on her page, and i thought that was such a great idea! so i'm going to do that too! please forgive me for beginning in the middle of the week, though, lol... i just finally got my blog looking halfway decent, so i was really anxious to get to writing!! by the way, do check out nara's blog~ i have it linked in my profile, so show her some love if you like~

nara was actually one of my friends who encouraged me to start this! she and eugene (check his blog out too ^^) are seriously my biggest blogging inspirations, so i'm glad i decided to start this with their guidance~ blogging has always been something that intrigued me, and as a gal, i think it's important to do this. gyaru is something i'm constantly worrying about dying off for good, so i like to think i'm making the odds of that happening even slightly less likely by writing this! lol, with any luck, though, i think gyaru will be around for a long while. ^^

is anyone else also stupid ready for summer? sadly, my region is experiencing peak Disgusting season... if it isn't rainy and overcast, then it's humid to the point you turn into a puddle the second you step outside! it seriously feels like being locked in your bathroom after a shower, when the steam hasn't had a chance to clear out... i just want to go outside and sunbathe!! we can't get exactly what we want all the time, i guess... (-_-;)

in other news, it's officially 10 days to my birthday!! 20 years old... my age is starting to get serious!!! i am excited, this will be the year i FINALLY get my driver's license, so i'm looking forward to that. that's the deadline i set for myself when i was 15 and first got my permit, and almost 5 years and four permits later... well, i'm finally taking care of it now, so that's what matters! i'm sad to be officially losing the ultimate get out of jail free card of "teenager," but eh. what are ya gonna do? i just hope people don't magically expect me to grow up, though, because that will never happen!! i plan to be a big kid forever, haha~ 

my mom agreed to pay for me to get a betta fish as my gift, so i'll be setting the tank up soon! i don't think i'll get the fish on my actual birthday, but i'm stupid excited anyway!! i still have a few more things i need to get, like some plants and a filter... i bought a filter earlier, then realized the pressure would be wayyy too intense for a betta, so i decided to send it back and get a better one. my grandparents are sending me my birthday money soon, so i hope i can use that to finish up getting the supplies! i'll post photos of the tank when i get it situated~ ^^

i haven'y decided which color or type or gender of betta i want... i think i'll just go to the pet store and pick out whichever one catches my eye! i really hate to buy from places like petco and petsmart, but such are the woes of living in the middle of nowhere... still, i feel better about giving one a nice place to live. i'll post photos of my baby when i get them, too. ^^

alright, i think i've done a sufficient amount of yapping for my inaugural blog post! please be warned that i do indeed talk this much normally, lol... so make a run for it now!! i'll be back next week~
