it's officially that time of year that the song "in the summertime" by mungo jerry is stuck in my head 24/7!!
in all seriousness, though, i'm a bit shocked i'm finally sitting down and writing this! i had such a busy week, and i didn't even realize i hadn't posted a weekly blog last monday until i woke up on tuesday, lol... it felt like every other time i tried to chill and write this, i was sidetracked by a million other things so yippee!! here i am~
there's much to catch up on...
we had my little sister's graduation party yesterday, so i was running around getting things ready for that ^^; it turned out to be such a cute little gathering, and i'm glad we got to celebrate her~! now this means i officially only have one last younger sibling in high school... ack, we're getting so old!! i swear i just felt my hip break...
the early summer months are always when everything in our family happens, but thankfully, things should be calming down soon~. i think we only have my older sister's baby shower next week, and then we're good to go until fall! finally... i really love when my family gets together, but now i'm an adult who has to do stuff for the functions, and not just a little kid enjoying said functions. oh how the turns have tabled...
aside from that, mini fish tank update: we're still cycling, so no fishy friend yet! my ammonia levels got really out of control, so i ended up doing a 50% water change on friday. ammonia is much better now, and i'm starting to see some new changes, so i'm excited to finally let my tank do its thing~ hopefully i shouldn't need to intervene too, too much from now on~ ^^
but aside all of that and speaking of summer, i feel like it's finally in full swing~!! my grandparents began their forever long camping trip, and my siblings, cousins, and i are planning to join them soon. we're planning to stay all night and tell ghost stories, but i'm mainly excited to go on the pontoon! it's may favorite part of summer, and i hope i'm not magically afraid of the lake now that i've been away from it for so long... still, i will most definitely be on the pontoon getting nice and tan if it turns out i'm too chicken to swim, lol... i've always been so weird about bodies of water that aren't the ocean, i'm not sure what that's about? maybe i've just fed into too much beach propaganda that my brain thinks creeks and lakes are gross and unsafe, or something? we'll see if my brain decides to freak out later, lol~
tanning is most definitely my summer pet project, though. i've been wanting to get a nice natural tan going for a while, and this is gonna be my year, count on it!! my little brother and sister both got my share of melanin, so i am currently the whitest native american known to man and have been for a few years, lol... no more!! i am going to become the tanned babe i always knew i could be!! i need to go scope out which area in my backyard gets the most amount of sunlight for the longest amount of time, and i need to buy an itty bitty tanning bikini... i wish we still lived in the middle of nowhere, because then i would've just gone out topless, but alas, neighbors... booooo!! but those are the next steps on the tanning agenda~
other news... get ready for a lot of new gyaru blogs!! i have a lot planned, and one that is very nearly finished! i wanted to post this first so my gyaru blog would be at the top (lol), so the new blog should be out in a couple hours after this one goes up~ i'm doing a 3 blog series about para para, then i'm posting a banba crash course, so i hope everyone enjoys the topics~!
alright, i think that about covers my weekly yap! hope everyone has a good week, let's chat again soon~ xo

WAIT that songs pops up in my head whenever i see the word summertime also?!?!?!?!!! it's such a fun song, tho.
congratulations to ur little sister! all the activities and events going on sound very fun. and glad to hear that the ammonia in the tank seems to be balancing out!!! with all the decorations too, it will soon be a fishy paradise for sure~
also yay for camping trip!!! i'm sort of the same, actually, when it comes to being scared of the water. i think it's because people always talk about needing to filter lake / pond / creek / etc water when out n about, but don't really talk about filtering ocean water all that much? at least from my experience... maybe it's because people always need to clear up the idea of freshwater being not that great for humans. idk.
but either way, i hope you enjoy the trip and have a fun week too!!!
hii antama!! it's great to hear from you again~
aww, congratulations to your sister! the younger siblings just grow up so fast, don't they? it's so crazy bc they're a little kid one day and becoming a young adult the next. pleaseeeee slow down.. TT
oooh, i hope you guys have fun on the camping trip with your grandparents! scary stories are always so much fun~ i think i'm a but similar to you, but i'm afraid of all bodies of water besides swimming pools. if i can't see the bottom or have a wall to hold onto, i am NOT getting in.
i'm really eager to spend some time outdoors too, and i wanna go swimming soooo bad. i hope you're able to get in a good tan! and i'll definitely go read the new blog you put out~ i hope you have a great rest of your week. ♡
i have been so awful about replying to comments!! pls forgive me (;_;)
all the activities have been winding down, and i'm honestly a little glad ( ̄▽ ̄*)ゞ it's always fun to be around family, but we all need a break every now and then!! next time i see them will be even more fun, since absence makes the heart grow fonder, as they say~ tysm for the kind words for my sister~ ^^
camping is set for this weekend, and i'm so excited!! bodies of water have always creeped me out more so because... drowning (O_O)... the idea of not being able to see the bottom of a body of water makes me feel a bit ill, lol... but i will say, my germaphobe tendencies do get to me a bit!! i always try to tell myself that public pools are honestly much grosser, and nature has a way of keeping natural bodies of water clean, lol!
have a great week, eugene~ (*^^*)♡
wahhh nara pls forgive me!! time and replying to comments have very much gotten away from me... (;_;)
oh, younger siblings... one day you're convincing them to drink paint water, and the next, they're graduating... i feel like such a fossil!! and no joke, one time my sister and i did convince our younger brother to drink paint water (¬_¬;) we were awful!!
my grandparents are the masters of scary stories, so i'm so excited to be scared out of my mind in the wilderness!! normally i'm such a wimp when it comes to spooky stuff, but i love a good ghost story~ i'm definitely with you on swimming pools tho! still, i'm trying to branch out there and live my trashy southern summer dreams, hehe~
i hope you've been able to enjoy the summer weather!! i've been dying to go swimming, so i hope you've been able to indulge enough for the both of us~ have a great week, nara~ (⌒▽⌒)♡
