Breaking news... I HATE my Gyaru 101 blog, so I deleted it!
It's the first blog I ever posted, so I'm trying to give myself a smidgen of grace here... But ack!!! It's dreadful!!! Therefore, drumroll please... I'm rewriting it! Right here, right now! Since I've written many blogs explaining what I was trying to convey in the original blog, I will be linking to them quite a bit, just so this revised version doesn't get too bogged down with my history lessons. God knows the original most certainly did... Prepare for some of the information to be quite a bit different, because little 18-year-old me was horrifically misinformed! Pardon me while I wallow in humiliation... Anyway! I think this blog will be significantly superior in every way, so...~

やっほー～！Gyaru blog time~
Right off the bat, I just wanna say that this is definitely a bit of a self-indulgent blog for me... I kind of just wanted to showcase a bunch of amazing Gyaru images I've collected recently!! Aside from that, though, as I was going through my Pinterest board, it got me thinking: Why don't we show some love to the things we don't always see in Gyaru fashion?
A few people have come to me in the past with questions like, "Can I still be Gyaru/Gyaruo if X, Y, Z...?" My answer to them has always been, and will always be, "Yes, yes, and yes!" There is genuinely so much room for creativity in Gyaru, and this is really a subculture about doing whatever the FUCK you want! Still, I know that knowing something and being comfortable with it are two different things, so let's celebrate the diversity that Gyaru has to offer today!

I won't get into all the details here; I'll save that for a much more appropriate blog post, so all I'll say for now is that I'm very excited to have a moment to write for all of you~ I've been sitting on this blog topic for a while, and it's one that is very near and dear to my heart! We're going to be talking all about the Banba substyle~!
If you recall, this is one of the substyles I included in my initial substyles blog, and it's one of the primary reasons I decided to revise that blog as I did a while ago. Since it was one of my first blogs, the information became less and less accurate as time passed and I did more research. I very quickly realized I had a fundamental misunderstanding of what the Banba style even was, and I'm willing to bet quite a few of you reading do as well! Not to worry, however~! I've found a few really amazing resources that I'll be sharing today, and I think everyone will find them very interesting~
