Hiromin Appreciation Blog!

やっほー～！Gyaru blog time~

Sorry I've been quiet for a while... Life has been crazy! I'm actually running a bit short on ideas for blogs these days, so here's a quickie for now~

When I was writing my Uncommon Things in Gyaru blog, I was trying to hunt down some photos of a particular egg model, and I was drawing a total blank! I couldn't find them ANYWHERE, and I was ready to give up... Until the same photos and more came across my Reddit feed again~! I decided it would be so fun to dedicate a whole blog to one of the most unique gal models of all time... Hiromin!

zzzzz so sleepy...

whew!! what a week!! i'm glad it's finally the weekend~

btw, the picture is from my friend's tomodachi life island~ our miis went on a double date, and we're both in flourishing relationships with nanami from jjk and toffee from svtfoe respectively, lol! i hope you guys think it's as cute as i do~!

okok, onto business...

Gyaru History: 1980s-2000

やっほー～！Gyaru blog time~

Breaking news... I HATE my Gyaru 101 blog, so I deleted it!

It's the first blog I ever posted, so I'm trying to give myself a smidgen of grace here... But ack!!! It's dreadful!!! Therefore, drumroll please... I'm rewriting it! Right here, right now! Since I've written many blogs explaining what I was trying to convey in the original blog, I will be linking to them quite a bit, just so this revised version doesn't get too bogged down with my history lessons. God knows the original most certainly did... Prepare for some of the information to be quite a bit different, because little 18-year-old me was horrifically misinformed! Pardon me while I wallow in humiliation... Anyway! I think this blog will be significantly superior in every way, so...~

Take a seat, students! Antama is about to yap!

An Appreciation Blog for Uncommon Things in Gyaru!

 やっほー～！Gyaru blog time~

Right off the bat, I just wanna say that this is definitely a bit of a self-indulgent blog for me... I kind of just wanted to showcase a bunch of amazing Gyaru images I've collected recently!! Aside from that, though, as I was going through my Pinterest board, it got me thinking: Why don't we show some love to the things we don't always see in Gyaru fashion?

A few people have come to me in the past with questions like, "Can I still be Gyaru/Gyaruo if X, Y, Z...?" My answer to them has always been, and will always be, "Yes, yes, and yes!" There is genuinely so much room for creativity in Gyaru, and this is really a subculture about doing whatever the FUCK you want! Still, I know that knowing something and being comfortable with it are two different things, so let's celebrate the diversity that Gyaru has to offer today!

i live!!!!

obligatory "i'm sorry i was gone for so long!!" opening, since it feels like all of my weekly blogs start with something along those lines ^^;;... let's just try to forget about that, lol...

in all seriousness, though, i haven't written a blog like this in a hot minute! i'm very excited to (hopefully) get back into the swing of things~ lots has happened, so i'm preparing for this week's blog to be kind of a behemoth... read at your own risk, muahahaha!! “ψ(｀∇´)ψ

oke, let's get into it~ ( ^▽^)ψ__

Crash Course: Banba

...Woop woop? Gyaru blog time? ...I'm sorry!! I know I've been gone for so long!!

I won't get into all the details here; I'll save that for a much more appropriate blog post, so all I'll say for now is that I'm very excited to have a moment to write for all of you~ I've been sitting on this blog topic for a while, and it's one that is very near and dear to my heart! We're going to be talking all about the Banba substyle~!

If you recall, this is one of the substyles I included in my initial substyles blog, and it's one of the primary reasons I decided to revise that blog as I did a while ago. Since it was one of my first blogs, the information became less and less accurate as time passed and I did more research. I very quickly realized I had a fundamental misunderstanding of what the Banba style even was, and I'm willing to bet quite a few of you reading do as well! Not to worry, however~! I've found a few really amazing resources that I'll be sharing today, and I think everyone will find them very interesting~

i have survived, lol...

weekly blog, weekly blog~ \(^ヮ^)/ i missed last week, but i had a good reason!! i realized i hadn't posted a gyaru blog in a bit, and i wanted to wait until i posted one before i posted something else that wasn't gyaru, lol... trying to stay on topic!!

i hadn't meant to be writing fewer gyaru blogs, but i'm planning to get back into the swing of things as the summer continues! ^^ anyway... these past 2 weeks have been pretty eventful~

let's chat~
